Are you expecting and need some pregnant Halloween costume ideas? Your baby bump gives you some creative options this year! Whether you’re looking for an easy DIY maternity Halloween costume or a more elaborate couples costume, I scoured the web and these were some of my favorites.
Use this round-up of maternity Halloween costumes for inspiration. I’ve also created a Pregnant Halloween Costume Ideas board and pinned all of these for easy reference on Pinterest.
1. Easy DIY Skeleton Tee
Iron on this cute mom-baby skeleton set to a black tee and you have a cheap and easy DIY costume. I plan to wear this with black leggings, and if you want to turn it into a couples costume, you can get the matching set with pizza and beer in the belly for your partner.
2. Jack O Lantern Tee
Another inexpensive, easy idea and work-appropriate if you don’t want a full-blown costume. Purchase at CafePress.com or DIY with fabric paint.
3. Mermaid with Mother of Pearl
This is more effort than I’d be willing to make while pregnant, but neat idea!
4. Sully from Monsters Inc.
This is really cute and creative, and could make a nice family costume set if you dress up your children as other characters
5. Zombie Baby Breaking out of Womb
Definitely the most extreme costume I found.
6. Trick or Treating Baby Bump
A much tamer version of above
7. Redneck/Trailer Trash Man with Beer Belly
This costume is sort of a classic way to put your huge bump to use for comic effect. Cheap and easy to pull together too, just add a wifebeater tank top, wig or trucker hat, cigarette, and a can of PBR or Natty Light and you’re good to go.
8. Angry Jack O Lantern Tee
If you want a more extreme jack o lantern baby bump, you can make a DIY tee
9. Knocked Up Barbie Doll
I wouldn’t want to walk around in a box, but this is a creative and funny idea
10. Painted Belly – Pumpkin
Cheap and simple
11. Painted Belly – Watermelon
I had to include this one because the painting was so good, and it’s a unique alternative to the pumpkin
12. Painted Belly – Basketball Player
Easy to pull off with your partner’s basketball gear and some paint
13. Painted Belly – Beach Ball/Beach Babe
I would not be willing to put my hugely pregnant self in a bikini in late October, but this woman pulls it off well.
14. Humpty Dumpty on a Wall
If you’re looking for something kind of cute and easy.
15. His and Hers – Bun in the Oven and the Baker
For you craftier types, this is a cute couples idea
16. His and Hers – Pregnant Baby X Ray and Doctor/X Ray Tech
It’s easy to find those cheap hospital-issue scrubs at Goodwill
17. His and Hers – Juno and her boyfriend
Perfect if you have a tall, skinny boyfriend/husband
18. His and Hers – Milk Man and Pregnant 50s Housewife
Another funny costume concept
19. His and Hers – Pregnant Nun and Priest
Only if you’re not Catholic
20. His and Hers – Solar System and Astronomer
They definitely get points for creativity on this one.
If you’re pregnant this Halloween, do you plan to dress up? What are your costume plans?
