I enjoy making meals from scratch and have tons of kitchen tools and gadgets. I have been missing one essential item for any home cook however, and have been looking for cute and functional aprons for a while. I wanted one with several pockets, durable enough to use in place of a dish towel and stand up to lots of washings, and with a retro flair. I found all of that with Flirty Aprons!
They are 100% cotton and fully lined, and claim to be one size fits all. They have long ties so you can tie it in the back, or loop them around tie in the front. I selected the Original Sassy Black style ($34.95) and found the cut and print to be very cute and flattering. I thought the fabric was a little thin, but it held up fine after I washed it. Not only do they protect your clothing, but the sassy style makes cooking seem more fun. I was tempted to pull a 1950s housewife move and put on heels with my apron and greet my husband with dinner on the table promptly at 5 with a cold martini.
In addition to the feminine styles for women, they also have aprons for kids and men. You can get matching aprons for your little helper in the kitchen, how cute is that? I know my brothers and I enjoyed getting to help our mom in the kitchen when we were little, and we each had our own color coded apron which made it feel very official.
This was certainly functional while cooking and I’m sure I will get a lot of use from it.
