As we all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I joined a group of bloggers to do our part for this worthy cause, and we’re bringing you the “In Honor of the TaTas” Holiday Giveaway Hop. Our generous sponsors have donated prizes to help us raise awareness for prevention and research funding. The giveaway posts will go live on Oct 21st at 9 am EST and run through Oct 24, 2011 11:59 pm EST.

My prize package theme is Girl on the Go. What better time to celebrate strong and active women? I’ve been trying to incorporate more green, eco friendly household products into my routine and I discovered Smart Planet. Their mission is to “help you live in our planet earth with our Eco-friendly household items“.

They sent me a great package of BPA free products to review which are perfect for a Girl on the go:

Smart Planet Eco Friendly Coffee Cup

Porcelain 12 oz. Eco Cup ($7.99)
Smart Planet Collapsible Eco Lunch Tote

Collapsible Eco Lunch Box ($14.99)
Smart Planet Double Walled Cold Drink Cup 16 oz.

Double-Walled Cold Drink Cup ($5.99)
Smart Planet Steel Cup

Stainless Steel Eco Cup ($8.99)
A portion of proceeds from sales of the Pink Eco Curly Cup goes toward funding for a breast cancer cure.  This eye-catching cup  was great to keep me hydrated during my 12 hour shifts at the hospital and I like the pink ribbon on it.  It is hand-wash only, as we confirmed when my husband unknowingly put it in the dishwasher :)   It’s made of sturdy plastic that is BPA free.

I love the convenience of the collapsible lunch box! It really does fold down so small so it doesn’t take up too much room in my lunch bag, and the separate compartments are great.  I almost always bring my own meals to work, and this even has a spoon and fork that fits in the lunch box. It’s dishwasher and microwave safe (a must, in my opinion).

The eco coffee cup and stainless steel cups are also sturdy.  I see so many people using styrofoam cups every single time they get coffee at work – imagine the reduction in waste if we all brought our own reusable thermoses or mugs!

Overall, I was very pleased with the entire product line I received from Smart Planet.  I love their environmentally friendly stance, which you can read about on their blog about living green.

Connect with Smart Planet on Facebook and twitter. It’s not a giveaway entry, but feel free to stop by their Facebook page and show them some love for their In Honor of the TaTas sponsorship.

Buy It: Purchase online at SmartPlanet.com. My readers will get 20% your purchase if you like them on Facebook or twitter and request the discount!

Win It: Come back here on October 21st and you can enter to win! Smart Planet is generously sponsoring a collapsible lunch box and stainless steel cup.

Disclosure: I did not receive any financial compensation for this post. All opinions are my own and uninfluenced by anyone else. I received a free product to facilitate my review but that did not affect my opinion. See my full disclosure policy.
