Okay, I’m going to try not to sound too much like an infomercial during this review, but the simple truth is that I LOVE the Bondi band!
Bondi Band sells headbands, swim caps, wraps, and other accessories to keep your hair under control while you’re doing the activities you love. Their slogan is no slip, no drip and I wanted to find out if the products lived up to that.
I have very fine hair and most stretchy headbands slide off within a few minutes, especially if I’m doing something active. I gave up on headbands and just put my hair in a ponytail, but a few months ago I cut my long hair drastically shorter and it’s not long enough to pull back anymore. When I saw the Bondi band and the claim of no slip, I really wanted to try it out and they were nice enough to send me one for review.
When it arrived, it looked similar to other headbands except that the fabric was much wider. I tried it on and decided that it was too wide for me, so I just folded it over and that fixed the problem (I’m fairly petite and have a freakishly small head apparently, so it’s probably just me. I’m pretty sure they gave me a children’s size snorkel set when we went to the dive shop on vacation, haha).
Anyway, once I put it on I could just tell right away that it was going to work so much better than my other headbands. I have been trying it out during the past month and it has stayed on great through jogging, 30 Day Shred, working out on the elliptical, etc. I’m not sure what the secret is because it’s just stretchy fabric, but whatever they did it works! Unlike plastic headbands with the grippy teeth, this one is also very comfortable to wear.
This is great for anyone who wants their hair out of their face, but I think it’s especially useful for runners. The one I got also has the benefit of heavy duty wicking to keep you from getting too sweaty. They even make a wicking hat with a hole for your ponytail, so you can stay dry and warm if you’re out running in cold weather:
They also sell gear for men, babies and children, and even bandanas so your dog can look cool when going out on walks. I like the Bondi band so much that it’s pretty much a part of my fitness routine. I put on my sneakers and my Bondi band and then I’m ready to go!
I will be hosting a giveaway so you can win your own Bondi band next month, when I have tons of health and fitness giveaways lined up for my New Year, New You giveaway event. For now, this would make a great stocking stuffer/Christmas present if you have anyone into fitness on your Christmas shopping list. My sister-in-law is training for a half-marathon so I’m thinking about getting one for her (ok, and maybe some more for me too – may as well take advantage of the buy 3, get 1 free right?)!
Buy It: Visit http://www.bondiband.com. The solid colored wicking band I tried is a very affordable $8. If you buy 3, get 1 free – Use discount code ONE.
Disclosure: I did not receive any financial compensation for this post and all opinions expressed are my own and uninfluenced by anyone else. I received a free product from Bondi Band in order to faciliate this review.
